YouTube is releasing new versions every couple of weeks, and some videos might not display properly on your players. For that reason, we update specific players that face this kind of issue. No matter what, every 6 weeks, all players will update to our latest software version.
If these streams are available without login into an account, you can display them to your TV screens using the Curious box. On the other hand, if you need to login into your account (Facebook/Instagram) to view this stream, unfortunately, right now, this is not possible. The widgets are not able to display video streams right now. Finally, if these Facebook/Instagram streams are available to another streaming platform like Twitch, YouTube, you can use their link to display them on the TV screen.
This can happen for a few reasons:
Check the time zone configuration. It is found at the "Basic" tab in the monitor details, where the screenshot is generated. If the time zone is wrong the schedule will also start and finish at the wrong time.
It sometimes takes time until all media has been downloaded on the SD card. (Note that while your schedule is downloading the default content will be displayed on your monitor)
If you notice this happened from the screenshot in the portal, the screenshot is being generated every 1 min. One must stay on that screen for up to a minute to get a new screenshot. Otherwise, what it will be shown will be from back in time.
If at the bottom right corner of the screen, it says "X No Space Left" (the message appears for some time, it goes away, and re-appears) then there is not enough free space on the SD card for all the videos in the schedule. Basically, how it works is that each time you assign media to a monitor the media will download to the SD card and from there appear on your monitor, so if you have a 16GB SD card about 4GB space is taken up by our software so you have about 11GB left on your SD card. The problem is, if you make a playlist or a schedule with media that includes more than 11GB of space and send them for display, the device will try to download all of them on the SD card and since it will fail to download everything the playlist or schedule won't start because the playlist/schedule must be complete to start. Note that you can check how many space you have left on your SD card in the Status tab for any device each time, however if for example you have 1GB of space left and you want display a movie that’s 2GB for example, then don’t worry, your curious box will automatically delete previously stored data from the SD card, so as long as the schedule/playlist is not more than 11GB you can display it despite previously downloaded media.
